Ankinex

Board prep written by the people who passed them.

Cards come from real conversations between attending physicians, residents, and the community they teach. Every card cites the clinician whose answer resolved the consensus. Every card traces to a governed source. No content farm. No vendor lag.

Anki is the de facto spaced-repetition tool in medical education. For years the decks that residents trust were anonymous mega-bundles — thousands of cards by nobody in particular, rarely sourced, updated on the vendor's schedule. Ankinex takes the inverse bet: a smaller deck, every card sourced to a clinician, evidence-tiered, rebuilt the instant the underlying community consensus changes.

Medical students

MS3/MS4 clerkships through Step 2/3. Premium features on by default — students are the future physicians, no friction. Ratings still mint COIN to the authors whose threads became the cards.

Flagship audience

ABOPM candidates and certified physicians

The American Board of Precision Medicine network — Anil Bajnath's ~500-physician credentialing board. Consensus debates, weak-evidence signals from real review data. Earn COIN by contributing; spend it on unlimited @CANONIC tutor turns.

Attendings and faculty

Write a thread once — your name is on the card every learner reviews, for years. COIN flows back to you every time the card is consumed. No ghostwritten content. No ad platform.

1

A clinician writes a thread

On one of four governed community scopes — OMICSCHAT, ONCONEX, MAMMOCHAT, CARIBCHAT. Real cases, cited replies, upvotes. No cards without a source thread.

2

The compiler resolves consensus

Rank (archivist/elder weight) + citations (NCCN / AJCC / ClinGen / CPIC Level A) + @CANONIC assist resolve an evidence tier — GOLD, SILVER, or BRONZE. The card publishes to app.ankinex.us on every governed build.

3

You study — AI tutor optional, never spoilery

In-browser review on app.ankinex.us, or import .apkg into desktop Anki / AnkiDroid / AnkiMobile. @CANONIC nudges you through reasoning without revealing the consensus. Again / Hard / Good / Easy posts an anonymized difficulty signal; cards flagged difficult above 40% get re-sourced by the community in the next build.

Karma, not paywall.

Reading is free for everyone. Downloads are free for everyone. Posting is free for everyone. Like Reddit. COIN is the karma — you earn it by writing cited threads, resolving consensus, curating tags, casting informed votes. Medical students start with premium features on, permanently. Everyone else earns (the default path) or purchases (the backstop) COIN for unlimited @CANONIC tutor turns and personalized review scheduling. More decks emitted → more COIN spent → more revenue routed to the humans who wrote the threads.

Dexter Hadley MD/PhD (Penn) — UCF Founding Chief of AI, Stanford (Butte Lab alumnus), UCSF. Anil Bajnath MD, Founder & President of the American Board of Precision Medicine, governs the ABOPM credentialing track and co-inventors the underlying IP (provisional filed, CAOH batch 2026). No VC funding. No ad platform. Infrastructure is community-funded via COIN; the community writes the cards; the board certifies the physicians; the students study.
